When Fate Deals a Wicked Blow #irelate

I saw a scene that broke my heart today. So I was going to the office this morning somewhere in Lekki and I came across this homeless woman with two little babies, oldest can’t be older than four, sitting under a tree in a corner, her babies picking fruits off the ground by the tree. I was really touched on this occasion, my heart bled seeing the two babies picking and eating dirt covered rotting fruits out of hunger from beneath the tree, prompting me to approach the woman who opened up to me with a story.
When Fate Deals a Wicked Blow #irelate
Her name is Adijat  and her children are between 2 and 4 years old. She is from Osun State and has been a widow for about two years, she was thrown out of her home in Lofada mowe when she was not able to meet her bills. Adijat presently hangs around Lekki, relying on the goodwill of people who see her and her kids to survive, as she does not engage in any craft whatsoever to keep body and soul together. I asked her what she could do as a vocation and she said she could make “agbo”(herbal drink), and even itemized what she needed to start the business. The sum she stated was so small, I could not believe she needed just that amount.
I was really touched at the sight of this woman, especially considering that the kids were eating those dirty fruits off the ground, looking unkempt, dirty and should be is school instead of laying about aimlessly at around past 10 on a Friday afternoon, like they were when I saw them.
It would be a blessing if some sort of help could be given to this lady, for the sake of her kids at least.

I know there are some organisations that handle cases like this or some well meaning Nigerians who would love to come to her aid. I took her contact in case anyone would want to reach her to help.

I figured Oreime Royalties could help spread the word, lets get some help for this woman, lets make her story yet another miracle story.
Honestly I know we hear these stories so often they have come to mean nothing to most people, we all have a story or have heard one. One way or the other we all relate to Adijat’s story.
I for one can relate, as I my heart arches knowing those kids are without a home.
Please tell someone to tell someone. Education for these babies, shelter for this family, food for the children, a job for a widowed woman, any help at all.
