Caribbean’s Next Top Model Alluring Kittisha Doyle opens up on how she was ridiculed for being tall and slender growing up, the tables have been turned as those features that were ridiculed are the reason for her clinching the title at the 2nd season of Caribbean’s Next Top Model. The 19-year-old who grew up in the rural St Patrick in Grenada with 15 brothers and sisters, was a tomboy and was often described as ugly and weird-looking. She now has the opportunity to enter the international modelling industry, thanks to her runway fit frame.
Grenadian Kittisha Doyle was up against 16 other models, and always felt like she would be the next to be eliminated, in the past she had gone for several auditions and never got picked and was on the verge of giving up on modelling all together when the CNTM season 2 came around and she was shortlisted.
Kittisha said she hasn’t changed since winning CNTM, she still likes watching TV, reading books, fishing, hiking and writing. She is currently looking forward to taking up her international modelling contract in with MINT modelling agency in New York and sees herself trotting runways with Tyra Banks and Naomi Campbell.
Sadly body shaming still exists as many young ladies are made to feel insecure either for being slimmer than normal or bigger than normal. I wish more young people will come to learn not to let others opinions bring them down, but to stay undeterred in whatever pursuit they’re on.
