How to identify your target audience as an entrepreneur
Having a business is one of the many roadmaps to financial freedom. There a number of strategies to employ at the beginning stage of every business and the most important ones include finding a niche and defining your target audience in that niche, this way it becomes easy to carry out your branding and marketing the right way.
Identifying the target audience
Think of it this way, a lingerie brand will only target females within the age of 18-40 as their ideal brand audience. Anything outside this frame isn’t considered as potential customers because they are not tuned to purchasing the set of items that their brand has to offer. Your target audience is the ideal consumer that your brand seeks to offer their services to. A clear description of these set of people will help your brand narrow down your market share as well as carry out your competitor’s analysis.
1. Choose a niche: The ideal niche to choose from will be one that resonates to what your brand stands for after this, carefully select the specific service you intend to capitalize on in your selected niche (food- groceries and e-commerce, fashion- kids’ apparels, beauty- cosmetics and skincare)
2. Identify your demographics: Your demographics have to deal with basic things such as age, gender, location and preferences/hobbies. This way you can highlight your marketing mix and choose from the diverse marketing strategy to use for your business.
3. Define your unique differentiator: Let’s talk about value; your unique brand’s voice should be carefully selected. This is the message that your brand passes across to your customers when they come across your brand. Remember that it has to be a positive and clear one because this serves as the first impression people will have when they stumble on your brand for the first time.
Until next time dear readers
