The first ever female deputy governor of Kaduna state, located in north west part of Nigeria. She is deputy to governor El-Rufai who used to be the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.

Dr. Hadiza S. Balarabe was sworn in as deputy in the year, 2019. She has been actively contributing to the progress of the state, particularly the health sector; which is her area of specialization and she can not let the opportunity slide to make a difference in the lives of her people.

She will hand over to a new governor come May 2023. That is a few months from now. She will be handing over with satisfaction because she has made her tenure as public office holder count.

She has inspired many young women and girls in the country with her feats.
