Next is Teyana Jacqueli Taylor is a model, singer, choreographer, actress and music director. She released her first album two years after her sixteenth birthday, in 2008. By 2010, she featured in Stomp The Yard: Homecoming. Fast, right? That is how we roll.
And Taylor Russell a Jamaican -Canadian actress. She explored her gift as an artist, playing the guitar at school and ceasing every opportunity to share her talent till she got a chance in the drama series, Lost In Space.
Da Queen Dana Eileen Owens aka Queen Latifa,has been in the entertainment industry for over thirty years as a rapper, actress and singer. Closing this episode, is our commissioner of Culture, New York City Laurie Cumbo. She is a Visual Art expert with a master’s from the New York University. She created a museum for diaspora art in 1999. And joined politics in 2013 winning the council seat. She was made commissioner in March 2022. Naturally, she would grace the Met Gala. And naturally, we celebrate her presence at the event.
