Just in, people, Chidinma Onwe withdraws from Miss South Africa beauty pageant 2024 for the safety of her family and herself. South Africans have been angry over the high possibility that Ms Adetshina will be the next Miss South Africa because her father is not a South African.

Chidinma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina was born in South Africa in 2001 to a Nigerian father and South African mother. She has lived all her life in South Africa and has South African citizenship. According to Act Nos.88 of 1995, if you are born in South Africa and one of your parents is South African, you are eligible for South African citizenship.

Unfortunately, Chidinma Onwe withdraws now because she and her family need to be safe. The pressure has been so much since she made it to the top nine finalists for the Miss South Africa title.

In addition , investigation has found out that her mother is using the identity of somebody else. This alleged crime has nothing to do with Chidinma but the twenty-three-year-old beauty can no longer bear the bullying.

In closing, we commend the young lady who has ignored all the clamour by South Africans these past few weeks. Maybe she thought she knew them and that they would soon realize their mistakes and be at peace with her. Alas it is not the case. As Chidinma Onwe withdraws, we congratulate her, the other contestants and the organization for keeping sane through it all.
