Congratulations Nigeria & Africa as Chidinma Vanessa Adetshina makes history. First because she is Nigeria’s first runner-up at Miss Universe 2024 and because she is the first ever Miss Universe Africa and Oceania. And so in her victory speech, Chidinma declares the win is for Nigeria and Africa.

In addition, Chidinma Adetshina thanks Nigerians for their overwhelming support for her when at her lowest point. She also thanks Africans from all over the world for their love. And said she is very happy for making first runner-up in her very first international outing.

Ms Adetshina succeeded in spite of the controversies dogging her three months before now. Her ability to address it at the interviews and move on, won many hearts because she displayed sheer strength and determination.

So saying congratulations Nigeria & Africa is in place because after the placement of the first thirty which had Egypt, Zimbabwe, Macau and France, Chidinma Vanessa Adetshina was the only African in the Top 12. Thankfully, she made Top 5 and eventually the first runner-up of the pageant.

Finally and certainly not the least important is that Denmark was also making history winning the pageant for the first time in the 73 years the pageant is running. Not only that, the winner Victoria Theilvig turned twenty-one, a few days before she won. Thereby making it a beautiful birthday gift, double celebration for her and Denmark.

Congratulations to all the queens because it was a successful, exciting and entertaining event for everyone.
