Africans at Miss Intercontinental 2024 who made it to the Top 22 of the pageant are offsets. They are from Zimbabwe, Kenya and Zambia. But our regular placements like Ghana, Nigeria, Egypt and Seychelles were unplaced.
Meanwhile, our ever present reliable Cameroon and South Africa shocked us with their withdrawal from the prestigious pageant. Other missing sister African countries are Belize, Sierra Leone, Costa Rica, Jamaica and Mauritius. Thus bringing the total number of delegates to fifty-eight as against seventy-three in 2023. However, let us meet the winners.
The winners:-
Setting aside these disparities and offsets, here are the winning Africans at Miss Intercontinental 2024. They are Amanda Peresu from Zimbabwe, Adah Mushibi of Zambia, Kenya’s Zawadi and Kenyatta Beazer from USA.
Ms. Beazer:-
In no particular order, we are starting with Kenyatta Michelle Beazer who was the fifth runner-up at the pageant. Beazer is also a serial pageant queen with several titles. She was Miss Baltimore in Miss World America 2018 and Miss International America 2022/3. And best of all, she is a forensic scientist.
Ms. Peresu:-
Next comes Amanda Peresu Moyo from Zimbabwe, crowned Miss Intercontinental Africa 2024. Aged twenty-one, she is a student of science and technology. Not only that, she is the second person to bring the Miss Africa title home to after MPI Zimbabwe 2022.
Ms. Mushibi:-
Our next one of Africans at Miss Intercontinental, is Adah Mushibi of Zambia. Our surgeon extraordinary is saving lives when she is not winning pageants.
Ms. Zawadi:-
And finally, here is Linsey Zawadi from the beautiful tourist country, Kenya. Linsey is the second Kenyan in history to make it to the quarter finals of an international pageant. Only a few weeks ago in Mexico, Kenya was top of the records table, during Miss Universe 2024. Apart from pageants, Zawadi is a passionate educationist who believes in a formal education for every girl.
Before we close on Africans at Miss Intercontinental 2024, we also congratulate our queens who were not placed. Because though they were unplaced, they are super queens without scandal and they are Mauritius, Nigeria, Seychelles, Egypt, Morocco, South Sudan, Haiti and Ghana.
