Africans ready for Miss World 2025 are barely twenty percent of the list of registered contestants. The Miss World pageant is hardly six weeks away, yet we are so few on the list. When will the preparation begin? Do we expect to win without preparations? See what I mean, below.

This list of Africans ready for the Miss World 2025 pageant, is copied from the Miss World site. And out of the eighty-one countries registered for the pageant, only twenty Africans are listed. Now when we mention Africans in our blog, it covers the Caribbean queens. Yet, only twenty of us are set to win the international title.

Therefore in no particular order, here are the countries on the register for the event. We have South Africa(of course), Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Jamaica and Mauritius. In addition, we have Belize, Senegal, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Kenya. The rest are Haiti, Curacao, Botswana, Cayman Islands, Guyana, Madagascar and Cameroon. Do you know that up till now, Angola, Nigeria and even Namibia is yet to register any name?

Now, how long left for the rest of them to perfect and hone the needed regal gait of a queen? Alas, we have only twenty ready candidates at this ninety-ninth hour! Winning is no longer only about looks. Gait, knowledge, projects, attitude are all now considerations for the prestigious pageant.

Enough preaching. Maybe they can rush a pageant and representative in the next two weeks. Maybe their candidates are ready, preparing and waiting for one last detail. Just maybe.

Anyway, for those Africans ready for Miss World 2025, and working so passionately hard for the title, we wish you great success. For those yet to register, we pray success for you as well. After all when you win, it is a victory for us all.
