Well, well, well. Miss World 2025 holds in Hyderabad, India on the 31st of May, 2025. The organization made the announcement yesterday 19th February, 2025. Bosnia was initially elected to host the prestigious pageant, before it was moved to Asia again.
By the way, this is the second time India is hosting the event in three years. First in 2023 and now in 2025. Almost a back to back hosting. By this readiness at such short notice, India has shown the world the meaning of opportunity meets preparedness.
What Happened ?
In the first instance, after the crowning of in 2024, Miss World organizers announced the 72nd pageant would be in Bosnia. And that is a country in Europe, not too far from many of the expected contestants. All that was needed was the actual date of the pageant. However, by the end of January 2025, there was still no set date for the celebration of women.
Therefore, the distinguished organization had to do the needful. Pick another venue and fix a date. And though the date is an extra three months for the reigning queen, it is set. We all now have a date to work towards.
Readiness of Africans:
Before we close on this set date, we already know that some of the big names in Africa are not ready. We have not seen their names on the list as at the time of posting this report. This is the third week in February, approximately three months to the exciting celebration. And some of us have not even selected a representative.
