Natasha Nyonyozi makes history as the first back to back win of this same category by Uganda in the previous Miss World pageant. At this year’s Miss World pageant, the tables are turning and the giants we are banking on are falling short. And the ones we do not expect are snapping up the awards of the different segments, to make us proud.

First was the beauty from Zambia, then Namibia, and now it is Natasha doing us proud. Of all the African queens, her project stands out the most, winning the title for Beauty With a Purpose. We said it when this pageant started that the African queens selected, were like war arsenals sent to win. And we are being proven right.
This is a brief peek at Natasha Nyonyozi’s project:-
Natasha Nyonyozi makes history because of her project for children with autism called the Nyonyozi Initiative. This comes from a personal experience with her younger brother. In Uganda, her project is opening doors and creating more awareness about autism, thus giving such children a stronger voice.

Ms. Nyonyozi even has a book about autism titled, Colours of the Spectrum. One can imagine her passion speaking about this project and all the details that only such a crusader can have.

In closing , we celebrate this her laudable project and her automatic ticket to the quarter finals. Now joining Zambia and Namibia in the quarter finals of the competition.

From this turn of events people, do you think the big names we are expecting have failed us? Or would they make it to the quarter finals? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below.
Seven slots are left so there is still plenty of room to qualify and besides there are twenty-two Africans in the race. The remaining ten would have to go home without awards.
