#Juneteenth is five days away and we continue to celebrate strong women of African descent through generations. And Maya Moore, a former champion basketballer, has the right to be listed as one of such women. This thirty-two year old woman has been a champion for justice since highschool. And so by 2016, she was speaking out on national television.

Activism:-
So vocal did she become that two prominent American writers had to write this review about her.

“Moore is special because she could have gone about her business as one of the players in WNBA history, instead she chose to lend her voice to the victims of injustice.”
Maya Moore is one of the top civil rights voices among athletes, prompting ESPN to do a film about her. And the film is titled “Breakaway”, about her social justice advocacy. Furthermore, the ‘Black Lives Matter’ T-shirts she and her team wore ten years ago, was the first protest by athletes.
By 2017, Ms Moore started Win with Justice to reform for victims of injustice and End It Movement to stop modern day slavery. Because of these activities, she won an award for courage in 2021.
We close with her appearing in Forbes list of Sports World Brightest Young Stars under 30, 2015. Yet, Maya Moore never got carried away. Her eyes are focused on justice and making it her business. And even wrote a book titled, “Love and Justice” in 2022.
