OLYMPICS GOLD MEDALIST: CATHY A.S. FREEMAN

Some Africans are aborigines, but not aboriginals are Africans -some people say. We celebrate African women and if they look like us, then they are Africans.

Cathy Freeman is the ninth fastest woman in the world. She won her first championship race when she was only eight years old. She went on to win several Commonwealth 200m and 400m gold medals between 1990 at age sixteen to 1999.

By 2003, injury forced her out of racing. She began a foundation to provide education for indigenous children of Australia.

So does she not have basic African features? Yes she does. Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
