AFRICAN CORONATION ANNIVERSARY

HRM Mohammad Kamoru Akorede Olufunmi the Olu of Sangotedo in Nigeria, West Africa had a great feast for his people on the 26th of November 2023. It was the celebration of his first year as king.

The history of his ancestors dates back to the fifteenth century. They took a rest in the virgin land on their way to see a warrior brother in Epe. The oracle advised them to remain in the new place. They named it #Sangotedo and it became their homeland.

Last year, Oba Mohammad Akorede Olufunmi was installed as king in Sangotedo after consulting the oracle. To thank his people for their support, the monarch declared a feast to celebrate one year on the throne.

The anniversary was a huge carnival because there was enough for everyone who stopped by to eat and drink. A popular musician entertained the king and his guests all night long.

An estimated crowd of ten thousand were invited guests and an unlimited number attended as citizens of his royal highness. There were no fights or thefts reported in spite of the number of people who attended.
