In 2020, Capt. Remoshay Nelson became the first American woman of African descent to be in the elite Thunderbird group.

The elitist group was born in 1953 and it takes a really special woman to make that group of rare American Airforce officers. To confirm that she is special, she has assured us that she will not be the only African female Thunderbird.

A thunderbird officer is a pilot of the American fighter jet. That is not all. The thunderbird officer is able to do acrobatics at airshows.

This means that she is one of those pilots that twirl, spiral and zoom the fighter jet. It is the art of practically making the jet dance in the sky. Let us say it is like riding a single rollercoaster.

As exciting as it sounds, it requires extreme ease and confidence to achieve. We must not forget to mention the endless practice for perfection and qualification.
