IWSN empowering widows is an annual event. Again, IWSN an International Women’s Society of Nigeria took time out on Nigeria democracy day holiday to give widows a feast. Not only did the women get feasted, they also got empowered. This means that all the widows at the program received economic support from the society.

To begin with, International Women’s Society is sixty-seven years old. In Nigeria, these special women of IWSN are reaching out to millions of people in need, over the years. They even have a skills acquisition centre in Lekki, Lagos where women are trained to be economically independent.

Furthermore, IWSN empowering widows gives financial support and business equipment to widows. The women have different ages yet their pain is the same and their smiles of gratitude tug at the heart.

Also at the IWS feast day, the widows enjoy a buffet and catch some fun in the IWS secretariat.The women also got cheques and equipment during this event. These gifts give the women a fighting chance to excel.
