Meet Ashley Graham Plus-Size Model on Sports illustrated 2016 Swimsuit Issue, the magazine is well known for using sizzling hot models on the cover and always being the media buzz-point. This year however they have set a new standard for sexy as the sizzling hot model on the cover page is beautiful and curvy size 16 model Ashley Graham.

According to the cover star; “I thought Sports Illustrated was taking a risk by putting a girl my size in the pages, But putting me on the cover? They aren’t just breaking barriers; they are the standard now. This is beyond epic.”

I think the move was bold, and considering the future of modelling (art reflecting reality), knowing that reality is not always as perfect as the media portrays. Definitely awesome.

28 year old Ashley Graham will be the first ever size 16 model on the cover of Sports Illustrated,  when the model posted the images on her social media page captioned; “Truly speechless,” she wrote. “This cover is for every woman who felt like she wasn’t beautiful enough because of her size. You can do and achieve anything you put your mind to. Thank you so much to the entire @si_swimsuit team! I’m so excited to be a part of your family. I love you all!!!”

It is good to know that top magazines are stepping out of the old way of classifying only slim girls as sexy, and embracing the conventional sexy is way of life not body size.
