MALCOLM X’S MOTHER HAS NIGERIAN GRANDPARENTS.

Louise Norton Little the mother of Malcom X was from Granada. Her maternal grandparents were stolen from modern day Nigeria and enslaved in Europe. Louise Norton was an activist who married another activist, Earl Little. Together, they fought for equality for all Africans.

Louise Norton Little spoke four different languages. She had high school education in Grenada. Her father was a banker from England. Accounting for the red hair of Malcom X. She moved to Canada after the demise of her grandma who doubled as her guardian. There, she met and married Earl Little and then they moved to America in search of greener pastures. They got into activism, the UNIA to be precise.

Their activism contributed to the demise of her husband and father of Malcom X in 1931, after only twelve years of marriage. His death was ruled an accident but his widow and mother of his seven children was convinced he was murdered by white supremacists.
