Naffisha Ceesay, a Political Science graduate of the University of Gambia has emerged the first Miss Planet Gambia this year 2023. She will be in Cambodia to compete for the international title on the finale night of November 19th 2023.

If you all remember, the event was cancelled after some contestants had arrived the chosen country, Uganda. The initial contestant from the Philippines, Herlene Burdol actually withdrew and was replaced by Maria Luisa who finally won the title after the event was relocated back to Cambodia and took place in January 2023.

The queen from Zimbabwe, Jemima Mandemwa was the first runner-up. The title was so close to Africa.

This stunner from Gambia, Naffisha is not new to pageantry. She has won beauty pageants since 2019. Miss Planet is her first international assignments. Miss Ceesay is not just a head turner but a woman who is passionate about health care for her people.
