The questions about the pageant count too. They test how much you know about the pageant. It helps everyone when the contestants are not ignorant.

The question maybe , “Would you say the last twenty years of the pageant is more universal than the first twenty years?”

That question is like checking out if you know the history of the pageant you are taking part in.

Anyway so you say, “Yes. It has covered the world since inception.

So when was inception?

You say over seven decades ago.

When exactly?

 1968? You’re out.

Or this question – “So how many African or Asian countries have taken part since the beginning of the pageant?”

Or this question – “Does that include African and middle east countries?” (Same question asked differently.)

“Yes! Bahrain made a debut appearance recently. So did Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.”

They ask, “Pakistan?”

“Yes, it is their first time. And she is getting bashed for participating.”

Look out for that faint, almost invincible nod of approval. It is always there if you are doing great at the screening.

They also want to do a great job and go home.
