SHEMINA PEROUNE: MISS CARIBBEAN CULTURE 2023/4

Miss Peroune of Guyana is the first ever Guyanese to win the Miss Caribbean Culture title. Nine countries of the Caribbean participated for the 2923/4 contest and five categories were assessed to crown the winner.

Eight awards were also given on that beautiful Monday night of the competition. Best Talent, Best Swimwear, Best Evening Wear, Miss Congeniality, Best interview, Best Promotion video, Miss Photogenic. The Guyanese won the Best Interview award and the Miss Photogenic awards.

Guyana hosted her first local edition of the pageant in 2020. The whole nation is elated that Shemina not only won the title, she also received two awards. Evidence of the extra efforts that was put into this particular outing.

Miss Peroune of Guyana is a combination of beauty and brains. She is a student of Aeronautical Engineering. And she is twenty years old. Apart from financial and material gifts, Miss Caribbean Culture Queen gets a chance to visit and know other countries in the Caribbeans and learn more about them, while also sharing her knowledge with them.

Miss Caribbean Culture Queen pageant began in 2006 and has crowned women from other countries of the Caribbean especially from the host country St. kitts and Nevis. They promote their cultural heritage. They bear African names and adopt their traditional religion.

The Caribbean Culture is a mixture of African traditional and cultural practices and some European and Asian lifestyles.
