WORLD QUEEN OF CYBERNETICS.

In the beautiful month of April, Professor Rose-Margaret Ekeng-Itua made history in the world again as the first female of African descent to be a doctor of Cybernetics.

What Cybernetics? It is studying the system of how we learn, our adaptation, efficiency, our communication, our emergence-being and our cognition. And how it is communicated in machines is what she has a PhD in. Of course she had the support of Prof. Kevin Warwick, the first human cyborg, to accomplish this rare feat of hers.

Ekeng-Itua sees herself as one who not only dreams, but ensures she acts on her dreams and becomes the best of everything she sets out to do.

First, Rose-Margaret holds a degree in Electrical engineering from the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria, Africa. From thence, she obtained an M.Sc in University of Surrey, England, United Kingdom. Harvard University for a certificate in disruptive strategies.

Furthermore in 2018, Prof. Ekeng-Itua was also on TEDx to share the fact that the future is more known to us today, than in the past because of the development of science and technology, beginning with Lewis Latimar. He invented the light bulb and is the first unknown unknown she says. She titled the talk, “Unknown Unknowns”.

Also, Prof Ekeng has several internship initiatives in Silicon valley. While Ekeng-Itua blazed her trail across the world, three continents, she makes advocacy for the girl-child her focus.

Why?

This is because of the challenges she faced achieving her goal as a woman. In fact, it was not only her sex that was resisted, being a woman of colour was a challenge as well. Rose-Margaret was fuelled by all these hindrances to be the best in her field no matter what. Is that an amazon or not?

Please post a thumbs up in the comments section below for this amazing African Queen.
