Ratidzo Gwati Crowned Miss 21st February Movement at President Mugabe’s 92nd Birthday Celebration

Ratido Gwati a Sociology student of  Africa University in Zimbabwe won the Miss 21st Century Movement  2016 pageant, which was part of President Mugabe’s 92nd Birthday celebration. The beauty Queen who had lost in a previous competition to an Angolan beauty, 22 year old Irecelme De Fatima Dos Santos Cassule was pleasantly surprised when she emerged winner at this competition.

The event took place in Mutare Hall in Zimbabwe, it was part of President Mugabe’s 92nd birthday celebration. The 23-year-old was crowned after competing with 20 other beautiful models for the crown. She was awarded among lots of gifts, a thousand Dollars from one of the events sponsors, a hamper and a trip an exotic resort.

When asked how she felt about winning the Miss 21st February Movement Pageant she said  “I felt excited and surprised. I could not believe it. All the models were excellent and were determined to win. It was quite a tough contest. I am glad I won.”

Considering the fact that she had come in second at the last competition, one that was within her school, you can only imagine how excited and surprised she was  to win a National pageant, one that had all the glitz and glamour. Who knows how many more doors this competition will open for her. Congratulations Queen Ratidzo Gwati wish you a successful reign.  Former super model Nyaradzo Muchemenye who was one of the organizers (Manicaland) was pleased with the success of the event and of cause thanked everyone especially stakeholders for their support.
