GRACE MOORE: THE YOUNGEST COMPOSER IS AN AFRICAN FROM BROOKLYN

In the year 2020, Grace Moore a young, African girl, aged twelve was identified as the youngest composer to have her work showcased by a distinguished symphony. As at this year 2023, her record is still unbroken.

Grace said she created the piece, titled SUMMER, to give people relief from the global issues of COVID-19, racial tensions and protests that plagued 2020. It is her third piece.

Grace Moore is a ninth grader from Brooklyn, New York. She is fifteen years old who speaks five languages including Latin. Her mother, Clara Stewart Moore, started to nurture the young composer when she was only two years old, by getting her a piano.
