QATAR’S FIRST FEMALE NIGERIAN PILOT

African women all over the world are elated to celebrate Capt. Adeola Ogunmola Sowemimo as another inspiration to African females. She is the first Nigerian woman pilot who flew the 787 Dreamliner aircraft in 2018.

Irene Koki of Kenya and Amsale Gulau of Ethiopia must both be really proud of her. They are on the list of African women inspiring other African women.

Beautiful Adeola Ogunmola had her university training in technology in Nigeria, she trained to be a pilot in Zaria and Florida. Why attend a school of technology if she always wanted to fly a plane?

The answer to that question is women, African women in particular have to prove themselves over and over again. Arming themselves with knowledge that boost their areas of interest is a big plus for them. Nobody will be talking over their heads.

There is no census on how many girls have taken a bold step in the flying direction. However, more girls are braver in taking their future in their hands determined to make a difference and be a beacon of hope for females all over the world.
