CARIBBEAN QUEENS @ MISS GLOBAL 2023/4

Queens from the Caribbean are catching up as favourites of the internet fans for the Miss Global competition holding in Vietnam from January 10th -18th 2024. The grand finale on the 18th, will produce a new queen.

In no particular order,
Francheska Pujols of Dominican Republic is part of the top twenty-five already.
Maria Seelal of Trinidad and Tobago
Celine Walters of Jamaica
Kiana Harris of Bahamas and
Haiti’s Nathalie Rigaud are pulling their weights as well.

Of the over twenty-eight countries in the Caribbean, these countries have been the most consistent. Complete with winning Miss World titles, getting placed and generally making their participation count.

We dare say their persistent presence has put the Caribbean in global view. We miss that Guyana, Barbados, Belize, Cayman Islands, Cuba, Curacao and British Virgin Islands are not in this race. Hopefully, these and more Caribbean countries will be present at the next international beauty contest, Miss World.

The tenth edition of the event is taking place at the Corona Resort and Casino Phu Quoc, Vietnam. The semi finals are taking place right now, today the 13th of January 2024.

Eighty contestants were expected but seventy turned up. This is huge coming from a pageant which began only ten years ago. Their turn out is almost equivalent to the turn out of the big four. Can you beat that?

We congratulate the Miss Global organizers in the Caribbean for the journey thus far.
