Our next queen of the tracks is Olympian and gold medalist Ejegayehu Dibaba, fondly called Gigi . Beautiful Gigi was also born in Bekoji, Ethiopia.

Ejegayehu has of course been in the World Athletics Championships, Olympics and World Cross Country Championships, to mention a few. Gigi has also won 3000m, 5000m, 10000m, half marathon and full marathon races in these games and championships.

Not only has Ejegayehu raced in all the categories, she has been all over the world like her sisters. Afro-Asian Games in Hyderabad, Cross-country Switzerland, Olympic Games in Athens and Beijing . Tunisia, Monaco, France to mention a few. Ejegayehu Dibaba has conquered.

Also, her sister and cousin have been in some of these long distance races with her. At the end of these races, either she or her sister or cousin wins the race with the other right behind. As if it was planned from home.

Radiant Ms. Dibaba is retired and married with children. She gave us an unforgettable outing in long distance races for seven exciting years.
