NATHALIE YAO- AMUAMA: MISS TOGO 2023/4

Togo has been inconsistent with participating in international beauty pageants since their first pageant in 1995. We wonder if their organizers will be more insistent on international appearances in the new year.

.

Togo began holding beauty pageants in 1995. All together, they have conducted twenty-seven pageants locally. However, the country has been on the global stage, only eight times. That means they have missed out on international pageants nineteen times.

The few times Togo contested internationally, they were unplaced. Of the over twelve international pageants in the world, they have focused on only three of them. They are Miss World, Miss Supranational and Miss International.

Why? Either the organizers or contestants have zeroed out other pageants, or the business people in the country can afford franchise for only those three. We are guessing. Next question is why they have attended such limited numbers of international pageants? Why take so much trouble for pageants only to abort it at the local level. Or have a poor outing.

Practice makes perfect is an aged adage, but it is the truth. You can not be inexperienced at world pageants and expect to get a placement. Let us avoid the expression, nonchalant. You need to know and be part of the outside world to understand the dynamics of winning.

Enough said. We hope Nathalie Yao-Amuama will join other beautiful queen-sisters at the next world beauty pageant.
