MISS GUADELOUPE VS MISS TAHITI

The “discord” between Miss Guadeloupe and Miss Tahiti at Miss France 2024 beauty competition on Saturday the 16th of December 2023 has continued to draw attention.

In the video millions of us have viewed, Miss Tahiti 2023 seems to have “deftly pushed away” Miss Guadeloupe 2023 during the salsa dance at the grand finale of the pageant held in France. This accusation can not be proven. We saw the video but we were not on the stage with them.

The final thirty contestants for the Miss France 2024 were drawn from over fifty applicants. They came in from all corners of the French colony. The hopeful ladies ranged from eighteen to twenty-eight years old. And they came in a beautiful variety of skin tones.

As always, different activities were drawn up for the beauties to test them in a variety of activities. The ladies put in their best and won in different categories. Evening gown competition, swimsuit competition and whatever other tasks that the organizers come up with. Then came the now famous salsa dance.

The salsa dance was part of the finale activities. Towards the end of the presentation, all the ladies went down according to the choreography steps. Jalylane Maes of Guadeloupe and Ravahere Silloux of Tahiti were the closest to each other. In those split seconds, Jalylane slipped and Ravahere supported her. Only both of them know what happened in that brief moment.

Viewers passed judgement in no time. “Silloux pushed Maes”. Case closed. No investigation, no questions asked. The viewers saw what they saw.

Here is what the two queens have to say two days after.

Jalylane Maes thanked Ravahere Silloux for helping her up and Ravahere confirmed that she helped Maes stabilize. That is what queens do.
